Lepista flaccida (Sow ex Fr.) Pat. Syn. Clitocybe flaccida (Sow. ex Fr.) Kummer Fuchsiger Trichterling Clitocybe renversé, Tawny Funnel Cap. very similar to Clitocybe inversa (Scop. ex Fr.) Qu¨¦l. Some authors consider these two separate species. Cap 5¨C9cm across, flattened-convex at first then broadly infundibuliform, pale ochraceous buff darkening to tawny with age. Stem 25¨C50 x 5¨C10mm, paler than the cap, woolly at the base. Flesh thin, pale cream to tan, stem becoming hollow. Gills deeply decurrent, narrow and crowded, whitish yellow. Spore print white. Spores subglobose, minutely roughened, 4¨C4.5 x 3.5¨C4¦Ì. Habitat in leaf litter in deciduous or coniferous woods, often in clustered groups. Season summer to early winter. Frequent. Edible ¨C poor.
